| Howe Recognition Wall, 192" x 72", African Mahogany veneers & solids, 2000, collection of The Minneapolis Foundation. This curving panel is comprised of over 3,000 pieces of lustrous mahogany veneer. I chose the abstracted image of a great oak, as it springs from the ground where it fell, while it shelters and protects that same ground. The lustre moves as one walks past. |
