Minneapolis Foundation Recognition Wall
The Minneapolis
Foundation Recognition Wall is composed of over 3,000
squares of Mahogany veneers, all from the same flitch. The
difference in brightness is caused by the differing angles
of the grain within the squares. In effect, the image
exists only in light. The upper photo is taken from the
left of the wall, and as one walks to the right side
significant brightness changes occur in the surface.
